Randi Bergman on Writing Toronto Makes

Randi Bergman wrote Toronto Makes and shares a bit about her experience authoring the stories of over fifty of the city’s makers.

“As an equal opportunity consumer who loves the high, low, and everything in between, and as a creative entrepreneur in my own right, I was honoured to help give voice to those who put their blood, sweat, and tears into creating timeless, beautiful products. Their shared perseverance became a constant source of inspiration while writing this book. Getting to know each maker and illuminating the unfailingly complex stories behind their brands was instructive to the creator in me—there are over fifty routes to creative fulfillment represented through the stories in this book, and none of them are simple. The steps are all here though, if you’re willing to follow them.”
